The Kentish Hare Privacy Policy

Tanners South East ltd (“The Kentish Hare”) is committed to maintaining your privacy and we have set out below how we go about doing this. Any personal information we request from you will be safeguarded under the GDPR. GDPR regulates the processing of information relating to individuals, including the holding, use or disclosure of such information. Our data is stored in a secure database protected by access controls. This policy also contains information about cookies. The following policies are intended to protect your privacy and ensure that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner. Data collected through the registration process or market research processes on the site will be used to improve the site, helping us to tailor our services to your needs.  We encourage you to refer to this policy on an ongoing basis to stay abreast of our most current privacy policy practices. WHAT WE COLLECT
 
You may be asked to submit personal information about yourselves by Kentish Hare staff, ResDiary &
Redcare 5G Wi-Fi hot spot for example: (we do not collect sensitive personal data as explained in Article 9 of GDPR)
  • Name and Company Name
  • Contact Information (including email address)
  • Geographic Information (such as post code and address)
  • Other information relevant to customers surveys and/or offers
  • Debit/Credit Card details to secure bookings (via Stripe), payment for vouchers or other goods
     
When you supply any personal information to The Kentish Hare we have a legal obligation towards you in the way we use that data. We must collect the information fairly, that is, we must explain to you how we will use it and tell you if we pass the information on to anyone else. When using your personal information, The Kentish Hare will act in accord with all current legislation.
Bookings are made through our booking diary ResDiary, they will ask permission via a tick box to “opt in” to pass your email address to the Kentish Hare for direct marketing purposes. The Kentish Hare is not liable for ResDiary/ Redcare 5G Wi-Fi hot spot Storage of data, however as with all companies in Europe they must have privacy policies in line with GPDR.
 
WHY WE COLLECT INFORMATION
 
We require this information to understand your needs, to process reservations, and to provide you with a better service; in particular for the following reasons:

  • To complete table bookings
  • To provide menus and receive pre orders
  • To send purchased vouchers
  • To improve our products and services
  • To periodically send promotional emails about new products, special events, offers or other information about
    the Kentish Hare and its affiliates that will be of interest to you
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may
    contact you via post, phone or email
  • We may use this information to customise the website according to your interests.
     
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safe guard and secure the information we collect online & manually.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have had your permission or are required by laws.
We may use the information you provide to communicate with you, but only if you have ‘opted in’ to receive communications, you will only receive information we deem appropriate for The Kentish Hare.
 
DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS TO THIRD PARTIES

behalf, this could be vis email, post or telephone.

Details may be shared with our payment providers to facilitate the payment of bills or the reserving of bookings. (STRIPE do not store customer card details, please see their privacy policy for details) with your approval.
 
Our website may contain links that enable you to visit other websites of interest easily. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have control over other websites. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whist visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy applicable to the website in question.
 
You may choose to restrict the collection or the use of your personal information in the following ways:
  • Whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, do not opt in to any direct marketing options
  • If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes on our website, you may change your mind at any time and without charge by contacting us at office@thekentishhare.com.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION?
 
The Kentish Hare will not keep personal data longer than is needed, the information that is stored will be details given when booking, how many times and when you have visited and any special requests to improve your next visit. All personal data will be permanently deleted after 3 years after last visit, and will be periodically checked and anomalised where it can be. We do not ask or store sensitive personal information and if asked we will permanently remove all information.
 
YOUR RIGHT TO ACCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
 
You have the right to request a copy of all the personal information that The Kentish Hare holds about you and have all inaccuracies corrected. Any such request should be made to office@thekentishhare.com. This will be completed within a month of requesting.
 
It is your legal right to ask for all personal information to be deleted and permanently removed from our systems. Should your personal information change, you no longer require the services you have consented to, or you wish to raise a complaint; please email our data representative, Paul Barber via email office@thekentishhare.com and we will ensure that your records are updated/removed or complaint investigated with immediate effect.
